Professor Zhao Lin is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Guangxi University. He specializes in bridge and structural wind engineering and is a Chang Jiang Distinguished Professor under the Ministry of Education and a National Chief Science Communication Expert for the China Association for Science and Technology.

Professor Zhao holds several academic positions, including Deputy Chair and Secretary-General of the Wind Engineering Committee of the Bridge and Structural Engineering Division of the Chinese Civil Engineering Society, Deputy Chair of the Wind Engineering and Industrial Aerodynamics Committee of the Chinese Aerodynamics Society, Executive Director of the Bridge and Structural Engineering Division of the Chinese Civil Engineering Society, Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Vibration Engineering, and Vice President of the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS) for energy-related shell structures.

He has led or completed seven National Natural Science Foundation projects, ten Ministry of Education and Ministry of Science and Technology projects, and over 60 major engineering wind resistance studies. He has published more than 200 high-level papers and holds over 70 invention patents and software copyrights. He has also edited five monographs and textbooks and contributed to two guidelines and standards. In the past five years, he has received five first-class awards in innovation, scientific and technological progress, and technological invention from the China Invention Association, the China Highway Society, the China Meteorological Service Association, and the Shanghai and Zhejiang provincial governments.
