Professor Zou Bingsuo is a doctoral supervisor. He obtained his Ph.D. in Science from Jilin University in 1991. From 1994 to 2005, he worked at the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He then worked at Hunan University from 2005 to 2009 and at Beijing Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2019, where he established and served as the director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Nano-Photonics and Ultra-Precision Optoelectronic Systems. Since 2019, he has been working at Guangxi University and currently serves as the Dean of the School of Resources, Environment, and Materials.
From 1996 to 1999, Professor Zou conducted research abroad, including at the National University of Singapore and the Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on nanotechnology.
His primary research areas include nanoscale functional materials and devices, nano-photonics and optoelectronic devices, and magnetic semiconductors with future optoelectronic applications.
He has led 973 subprojects and key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, undertaken five general projects, and been the principal investigator for major equipment projects funded by the Ministry of Education. His research achievements have earned him the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award, the First Prize of the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Award, and the Second Prize of the Beijing Municipal Natural Science Award.
