Faculty of SKL Invited to Thailand for the International Symposium on Advanced Materials, Materials Science, and Engineering, Presenting Academic Reports
From October 23 to 24, 2023, the 8th World Congress on Advanced Materials, Materials Science, and Engineering (MatSci 2023) was held in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference theme was "Innovations and Applications of Materials Science and Nanotechnology in Sensing, Optoelectronic Detection, and Medical Applications." Renowned experts and scholars from various continents, including China, the United States, Japan, Germany, Portugal, Turkey, India, South Africa, the UAE, and Mexico, participated in the conference to share and discuss the latest research advances, technical information, and innovations in the field of materials science and technology.
Professor Bin-Suo Zou and his team were invited to attend. Professor Zou delivered an invited talk titled “Excitation and Optical Properties of Diluted Magnetic Semiconductor Nanostructures.” Additionally, PhD student Bao Ke’s poster, “Achieving Highly Efficient Orange Emission in Tin (IV)-based Metal Halides with Outstanding Anti-water Stability through Antimony Doping and Reasonable Structural Modulation,” won the Best Poster Award.
During the conference, the faculty and students engaged in extensive discussions with international experts on shared research interests in nanomaterials and nanotechnology, advanced materials, and materials physics. They also explored potential collaborations on several research topics. The conference significantly enhanced the international academic exchange and cooperation of the laboratory in materials science and technology while broadening the international perspectives of the participating students.
