On May 28, State Key Laboratory of Featured Metal Materials and Life-cycle Safety for Composite Structures held an expert demonstration meeting of the "Science and Technology Department Laboratory Construction Special" guideline combined with offline and online in Room 228 of the College of Resources, Environment and Materials Building. Five domestic well-known experts from Northeastern University and other units attended the demonstration meeting, the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and vice President Ma Shaojian attended and presided over the meeting, the laboratory construction working group, the relevant responsible person of the key laboratory, the main academic leaders and academic backbone of the key laboratory attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the person in charge of the laboratory introduced to the experts the project demonstration and the current work plan for the construction of the The State Key Laboratory of Featured Metal Materials and Life-cycle Safety for Composite Structures. After listening to the report on the overall construction plan of the laboratory and reviewing the special guidelines for construction, the experts reached a consensus after full questioning and discussion. Experts believe that the construction of the special guide focuses on the laboratory construction planning, focusing on the green and efficient development of aluminum resources and the basic research and application of results in the fields of new functional materials, the design and processing of new aluminum alloys and their compliant materials and intelligent manufacturing, and the life safety design and theory of characteristic engineering composite structures, accurately condensing scientific issues. It reflects the cross-integration of all directions of the laboratory and related disciplines, which meets the needs of national and regional development strategies such as the high-quality development of the national aluminum industry, the construction of new land-sea channels in the west, and the Pinglu Canal Century Project, and the assessment indicators are set reasonably. The expert group agreed to submit the guide to the Autonomous Region Science and Technology Department for inclusion in the "14th Five-Year Plan" Guangxi Science and Technology Plan Project declaration Guide (third edition).
