Yue Qingrui congratulated the State Key Laboratory of Characteristic Metal Materials and Composite Structures for the whole Life Safety of the project, and thanked the project leading undertaking units, subject undertaking units and participating units and relevant experts for the hard work made for the project. He pointed out that it is necessary to make good use of the policy support given by the state to the western region, truly establish Guangxi University's own advantages, focus on the goal, condense the direction, and make good use of funds and talents.

Han Linhai said in his speech that it is necessary to focus on the basic research and application of achievements in the fields of green and efficient development of aluminum resources and new functional materials, design, processing and intelligent manufacturing of new aluminum alloys and their compatible materials, and full-life safety design and theory of characteristic engineering composite structures. In the process of project application, all disciplines should work together and work solidly to ensure the completion of various research tasks with high quality and high standards.

At the meeting, the academic leaders of the three directions reported the preparation of the project application to the experts, including the research background, research objectives, subject setting, and budget arrangement. The experts affirmed the feasibility of the project research program, and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on how to grasp the key points of each direction, how to closely combine the application of each direction and the subject under it.
