On April 30, the State Key Laboratory of Featured Metal Materials and Life-cycle Safety for Composite Structures (hereinafter referred to as the laboratory) held an open project symposium in our school, and Xiao Jianzhuang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of the school, attended the meeting.

Xiao Jianzhuang pointed out that as the first batch of open topics after the laboratory approved the project construction, Guangxi University and the laboratory pay special attention to, the school will fully support each research group to promote the project, implement the guarantee conditions, and the laboratory cooperation personnel should do a good job of liaison and service. The person in charge of the open project and the laboratory cooperation personnel who have obtained the project should give full play to their respective advantages, seek truth and pragmatism, unite and cooperate, and strive for fruitful scientific research results in each project. All teachers are welcome to put forward their opinions and suggestions on the open subject work of the laboratory, and jointly promote the open cooperation and exchange of academic research in the laboratory.

The person in charge of the laboratory introduced the basic situation of the laboratory to the person in charge of the open project, and informed the application, evaluation and project approval of the open project. During the exchange and discussion session, From Dalian University of Technology, Shandong University, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Northeastern University, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Lanzhou University, East China University of Science and Technology, Hefei University of Technology, University of Manchester, Nankai University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Tsinghua University, Shenzhen University, Hunan University, Yanshan University and other 17 domestic and foreign universities The person in charge of the open project of the well-known university reported the project preparation and research plan to the laboratory, and exchanged and discussed the subject research content with the laboratory researchers.

The open subject is an important part of the scientific research work and operation management of the State key laboratory, which fully reflects the construction purpose of the State key laboratory of "open, mobile, joint and competitive", and promotes the multi-field cooperation and interdisciplinary scientific research organization form.

The conference was held in a combination of online and offline, with more than 30 participants from the leaders of various open projects and cooperative researchers in the school.
