On May 13, Wang Naixue, vice chairman of the CPPCC of the Autonomous region and secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi University, presided over the fourth plenary meeting of the Leading Group for the construction of State key laboratories, which informed the latest progress of the construction of two State key laboratories, sorted out the list of problems, put forward specific work ideas and work requirements, and clarified the key tasks of the next step.

At the meeting, Wang Naixue stressed that the Party Committee and the government of the Autonomous region attach great importance to the reorganization of the State Key Laboratory for the Protection and utilization of subtropical agricultural biological resources, and have done a lot of promotion work from various aspects, which has encouraged confidence, boosted morale and enhanced motivation for us. In view of the current problems existing in the two State key laboratories, we should promote the work in an orderly manner with a rigorous style of study, an efficient style of work, and a scientific attitude, further learn from and absorb successful experiences from outside the school, and seriously consider the connotation of the construction of the laboratory, clear strategic positioning and key scientific issues. Work measures such as platform construction, team building, landmark achievements breakthrough will be implemented in detail.

Han Linhai pointed out that it is necessary to further condenze scientific problems and technical problems around the "five questions" requirements for the construction of national key laboratories, so as to find real problems, solve real problems, and solve real problems. We should maintain a high degree of "three clearances", clearly see the challenges we face, clearly identify scientific problems, and clearly know what to do and how to do it. It is necessary to be project-driven and promote the integrated construction and operation of large teams, large platforms, large results and large projects. The person in charge of the State Key Laboratory for the Protection and Utilization of Subtropical Agricultural Biological Resources and the National Key Laboratory for the life Safety of characteristic Metal Materials and composite Structures jointly built by provinces and ministries respectively reported the progress of the construction of the laboratory and the next work plan.
