On July 9, Wang Naixue, Vice Chairman of the Regional Political Consultative Conference and Secretary of the University Party Committee, chaired the fifth plenary meeting of the National Key Laboratory Construction Leadership Group at Guangxi University. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of the construction of two national key laboratories and five major experimental platforms.

Wang Naixue emphasized that the subtropical state key laboratory must focus on the core tasks, with the core issues linked to the laboratory common key scientific issues, highlighting the innovation of the institutional mechanism, to set up “not my own” technical confidence, with a more professional attitude and a more resolute style of work unswervingly to promote the reorganization of the laboratory; the provincial ministry of the State Key Laboratory should actively carry out research and constantly improve the construction mode as soon as possible to determine the reorganization program; the construction of the five experimental platforms should be clearly responsible for strengthening leadership to improve efficiency, and make every effort to promote the five experimental platforms of high standard construction, high efficiency to promote Key Laboratory to actively carry out research, constantly improve the construction mode, as soon as possible to determine the reorganization of the laboratory program; the construction of the five experimental platforms to clarify the responsibility, strengthen leadership, improve efficiency, and make every effort to promote the five experimental platforms of high-standard construction, high efficiency, high quality completion.

Han Linhai pointed out that the two national key laboratories should more closely focus on the national major strategic needs, accurately position the laboratory's research objectives, and condense the common key scientific issues. To maintain a high sense of urgency and crisis, adhering to the spirit of “no time to wait”, in-depth and solid to promote the construction and reorganization of national key laboratories. Han Linhai emphasized that the national key laboratories jointly built by the Ministry and the province should effectively fulfill the mission of national strategic scientific and technological power, accelerate the close integration of industry, academia, research and application, firmly rooted in the land of Bagui, and provide scientific and technological support for the development of the region. To continue to adhere to the “top-level design, project-driven”, accelerate the multi-hazard and complex geomorphological effects of the coupled simulation of the boundary layer wind tunnel group system construction progress, clear sorting out the logical relationship between the five experimental platforms, to create a major scientific device with Guangxi characteristics.

The person in charge of the subtropical state key laboratory and the provincial and ministry co-built state key laboratory reported the progress of the laboratory construction and the next step of the work plan respectively.
